Single-Flute Radial Bits

• Ideal for cutting sheet aluminum and brass with a thickness of .060” (1.5mm) and less, soft woods, soft alloy aluminum. Unlike the spiral flute bits, these bits have a single straight cutting edge which doesn’t pull up on the work piece. This straight flute allows the bit to “shear” the chip off at the top edge of the material being cut without leaving a burr. The chip extraction, however, will not be as good as with a spiral bit.
