Specialty Materials
- A smooth and soft metallic finish transfer film
- Cut this material in “mirror” image: 45(o) blade
- Application: Adheres to cotton, uncoated polyester, fabric blends, polyester/acrylic, and similar fabrics; Not suitable for treated or dyed garments; Not nylon
- Press: 302(o) – 320(o)F for 7-8 seconds
- Firm to even pressure, peel warm – not hot, then cover with Teflon and repress for 3-5 seconds
- Wash inside-out, cold water, gentle cycle; tumble dry low
A release paper or Teflon sheet should always be placed between the heat platen and the plastic carrier sheet to prevent sticking and edge damage to the transferred design.
Test on dazzle cloth and other moisture-wicking polyesters. Moisture-wicking materials have better adhesion when washed and dried using no fabric softener or blotted with rubbing alcohol before pressing. Be advised that dye migration has occurred with low energy dyes in polyester and poly-blend fabrics.
